Medical gastroenterologist is a specialized physician who focuses on disorders related to the digestive system. Job responsibilities are:

Consultations and Patient Care:
Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns. They take detailed medical histories, listen to symptoms, and perform physical examinations. evaluating patients with gastrointestinal (GI) issues, which can range from acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) to more complex conditions like Crohn’s disease or liver disorders.

Diagnostic Procedures:
Medical gastroenterologists perform specialized tests to diagnose patients accurately. These may include: Endoscopy: Using a thin, flexible tube with a camera (endoscope), they examine the esophagus, stomach, and upper part of the small intestine. Colonoscopy: This procedure allows visualization of the large intestine (colon) to detect abnormalities, such as polyps or tumors. ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography): Used to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the bile ducts and pancreas. Interpreting Imaging Studies: They analyze results from imaging techniques like CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound.
