Job Description:

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose a wide range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease (ILD), lung infections, sleep apnea, and pulmonary embolism.
Interpret diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and bronchoscopies.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and bronchoscopic interventions.
Manage critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) with respiratory complications.
Perform a variety of procedures, such as thoracentesis and pleural effusion drainage.
Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing thoracic surgeries.
Collaborate effectively with other physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine and best practices.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department.
May participate in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.
Qualifications:
MD degree in Pulmonology or DNB degree in Respiratory Medicine from a recognized medical institution.
A valid National Medical Commission (NMC) registration.
Minimum 0 to 20 years of experience in a clinical setting managing respiratory illnesses.
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
