Job Description:
A leading healthcare provider in Rewari, is seeking a skilled and passionate Neonatologist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing life-saving care to premature, critically ill, and vulnerable newborns.**
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage a wide range of neonatal conditions, including prematurity, birth defects, respiratory problems, infections, and metabolic disorders.
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of newborns, interpret vital signs, and analyze laboratory and diagnostic test results.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each neonate, considering the latest advancements in neonatal care.
Administer medications, manage respiratory support (ventilators), and provide nutritional support (parenteral or enteral feeding).
Perform or assist with necessary procedures, such as intubation, umbilical line placement, and lumbar punctures.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, nutritionists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for newborns.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and families, providing updates on their baby's condition, explaining medical procedures, and addressing their concerns.
Document medical history, procedures performed, progress notes, and other relevant information accurately and efficiently.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities to advance neonatal care standards.
Qualifications:
MD degree in Pediatrics with a DM or DNB in Neonatology from a recognized institution.
Minimum o to 20 years of experience working in a NICU setting and managing complex neonatal cases.
Board certification in Neonatology by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) is preferred.
Excellent clinical skills, with a strong foundation in neonatal medicine.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with families of critically ill newborns.
