Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phaco Surgeon to join our prestigious hospital in Kannur. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing phacoemulsification (phaco) surgeries, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Surgical Procedures: Perform phacoemulsification cataract surgeries with a high degree of precision and care.
Patient Consultation: Conduct thorough examinations, diagnose eye conditions, and recommend appropriate treatments.
Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Manage patient care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring optimal recovery and outcomes.
Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Phaco Surgery team, including training and mentoring junior staff.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards.
Continuous Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Phaco Surgery and participate in continuous medical education.
Patient Relations: Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Qualifications:
Education: MBBS degree with a specialization in Phaco Surgery (MS/MD).
Certification: Valid medical license to practice in India and certification in phacoemulsification surgery.
Experience: Minimum of 0-22 years of experience as a Phaco Surgeon.
Skills:
Proficient in phacoemulsification cataract surgery techniques.
Strong diagnostic skills for a variety of eye conditions.
Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
